Investors in People (IIP) sets the standard for better people management. It’s an internationally recognised accreditation that defines what it takes to lead, support and manage people well for sustainable results.

It’s unusual for a company of Gloo’s size to attempt Investors in People (IIP), but we felt that it fitted with our values and would provide a strong framework to improve our talent management. We started on the route to in January 2016. Having strong processes in place gave us a head start, but it was still a challenging undertaking.

Just six months later we were accredited. And it’s a big deal, less than 3,000 companies hold the accreditation—and just 14,000 worldwide.

But the journey isn’t over yet. Our goal is to attain the Gold standard—an accolade held by less than 2% of UK companies. Continuously engaging opinions and ideas of our employees, reviewing processes and managing performance will help us get there.
